What does Shooger do?

Shooger helps you save time, money and get the inside scoop from your favorite stores, restaurants, bars, salons, etc. through our free Smartphone app and website. You can follow your favorite businesses and Experts in your area, and share sweet deals that you find. We don’t just offer deals we find, we’re about sharing deals that everyone finds.

I found a deal that I like, how do I get it?

If the deal is a Find that was posted by a Shooger user or a fellow expert, simply click on the deal and show your screen to the merchant and ask for the deal (or follow the instructions on the Find).

If it’s an Offer that was posted by a merchant, you can select the “Redeem” button on your phone App, and show it to the merchant at the time of purchase.

What is an Expert?

An Expert is someone who helps everyone save money, time, and shares the inside scoop. They are people Shooger has specifically chosen because of their amazing deal finding abilities, and their “expertise” in a specific category, product, or neighborhood.

How can I add a deal?

Simply find a deal and spread the word to join the revolution! On your App, click the “New Find!” button, take a picture, write up to 500 characters to clearly explain what the deal is, how to redeem it, and any terms/conditions or fine print the deal has. Hit “Post This Deal” and you’re done. You just made everyone’s life a little sweeter.

How does it work?

Great things you can do with Shooger include:

  • See merchant Offers and user posted Finds around you or search by category, merchant, or keyword (ex. Restaurants & Bars, Joe's Pizza Shop, or Pizza).
  • Find and follow your friends, Shooger Experts, and Merchants to get updates on the deals they post.
  • Use deals in-store or save them for later. It's that easy!
  • Smartphone users, post deals you find for the rest of the community to see.

At participating merchants, you can also text in a keyword that the merchant displays to 79338 (SWEET) to receive special offers texted directly to your phone.

Does this cost me anything?

Shooger is always free for all consumers.

On your smartphone app – Getting great deals from fellow Experts and sharing deals with friends and your community is totally free.

Via Text/ SMS - Subscribing to your favorite businesses (via texting) and receiving deals via text cost the same as a text to your best friend. Although Shooger will not charge you for texting, message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and phone plan.

Will the text message service work with my mobile phone carrier?

Our network covers 99% of the US market, including: Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint PCS, Alltel, Boost Mobile, CellularOne, Dobson, and US Cellular. You most likely have one of these.

What is a short code?

A short code is a special telephone number that's shorter than a regular phone number (usually 5 or 6 digits) and is designed to be easily remembered. Our short code is 79338 (which spells SWEET on your dial pad).

What is a keyword?

A keyword is a special code word your favorite businesses will tell you to text in to receive their deals and become a subscriber. The keyword is usually the business name (example: "VANDYKE" for Van Dyke Cafe).

How often will I get text message deals from my favorite businesses?

You will only get text messages from businesses you have chosen to follow. You will get up to 30 text messages a month from each business you subscribe to. It all depends on how many messages they create and send in a month.

How do I stop receiving text messages?

You only receive deals on your phone if you text a business keyword to our short code and subscribe to our service. We also add "Reply STOP to unsubscribe" to every message you get, so you can opt-out at any time.
